Certified Nurse Aid (CNA)

Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, AZ is seeking a Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) to join their team. This full-time position operates during day shifts. Valley View Medical Center is a state-of-the-art hospital located in Ft. Mohave, a suburb of Bullhead City. The hospital serves the surrounding areas of Bullhead City, Laughlin, Nevada, and Needles, California. It is situated at the confluence of the three states along the Colorado River.

As a CNA, you will:

• Perform basic patient care activities under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Monitor vital signs, take blood glucose measurements, and record intake and output.
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Maintain patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

To qualify, you should have a high school diploma or GED, a state-certified nursing assistant certification, and BLS certification. Handle with Care certification is preferred. You should also be comfortable with standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and handling exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
