GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The After School Program Aide assists the Program Leader onsite at after school programs to ensure safe, appropriate after school services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Ensures that all work is carried out in a manner that is both respectful and empowering to families and individuals with developmental disabilities. Assists the Program Leader with care and supervision of children attending the after school program. Participates in the organization of a wide array of indoor and outdoor activities including arts, crafts, games, music, dance and educational projects, and group activities. Ensures the health and safety of all program participants. Provides input at staff meetings and as needed for consumer well being and program quality. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor and/or Executive Director. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Must be 18 years old. Minimum of one-year experience in working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
