Senior / Lead EstimatorWestchester County-based commercial General Contractor seeking an experienced Senior / Lead Estimator to support a growing portfolio of $30M-$100M projects throughout the Hudson Valley and surrounding region. This is a succession-planning opportunity for a proven estimator with the leadership potential to grow into the head of our Estimating Department.ResponsibilitiesLead all phases of the estimating process, from conceptual budgeting through bid submission and project buyout.Develop bid strategy, manage subcontractor solicitation, perform bid leveling, and oversee complete buyout for complex commercial projects.Prepare accurate estimates using Timberline Estimating and On-Screen Takeoff (OST).Collaborate with operations, project management, and preconstruction teams to deliver competitive, high-quality proposals.Mentor and develop junior estimators while helping strengthen estimating processes and best practices.Qualifications10+ years of commercial general contracting/construction management estimating experience.Experience with healthcare, education, senior living, science & technology, commercial interiors, or other institutional projects preferred.Strong public sector estimating experience, including NYS and NYC agency work.Proven ability to lead and mentor an estimating team.Experience owning bid strategy, subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and full project buyout.Proficiency with Timberline Estimating and On-Screen Takeoff (OST).Desire to grow into a department leadership role over the coming years.The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.Cob3Salary/Rate:US$175000.00 - US$225000.00 per annumJob Type:Office BasedContract Type:PermanentTown/City:Yorktown Heights, NYCounty:New YorkSector:Construction & DevelopmentJob ref:JN -072026-85570_1784921409Post Date:07. 24. 2026
