Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required. License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Experience in cardiac stepdown - EPIC experience - Skills checklist specific to Stepdown/Progressive Care - Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, or director - Valid driver’s license Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The candidate will provide and manage care for patients in a stepdown setting. This position may require floating within the same discipline across local campuses. Candidates must have strong clinical knowledge and skills. The nurse will work as part of an interdisciplinary team. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:4-5 during the day shift and 1:5-1:6 during the night shift. Charge nurses will strive to make assignments the safest possible. Experience in cardiac care is essential. The candidate must have current certifications in BLS and ACLS from an approved organization. High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are critical for this role.
