At Mercy One, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills, work with state-of-the-art technology, and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.As a Medication History Pharmacy Technician at MercyOne, you will provide technical support in obtaining, verifying for accuracy, and recording initial medication histories from patients &/or their designated family/caregivers upon presentation to Mercy patient care areas. This includes conducting patient &/or family interviews focused on obtaining current medication regimens including prescription and over-the-counter (non-prescription) medications, as well as vitamin and herbal supplements. Will also perform other functions of a pharmacy technician registered in the State of Iowa and within the scope of Iowa law as needed.Schedule:40 hours a week10:30 am - 7:00 pmEvery 3rd weekendMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required when nationally certified through NHAPCTB nationally certified technicians do NOT require HS diploma or GEDProof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within 3 months of hireNational Pharmacy Technician Certification; Minimum of 2000 hours of pharmacy technician experience required; and Registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy at time of hireORRegistered Pharmacist-Intern with the State of Iowa at the time of hireAt MercyOne, we care deeply about your well-being—both physical and mental.
