About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Experience with patient ratios of 8:1 Experience with the Epic charting system preferred Experience in community hospital settings preferred Experience in LTAC settings preferred Description: Provide care for patients in a rehabilitation setting during night shifts. Working nights will include a rotation of every other weekend. Travelers are welcome, including those with first-time travel experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary for this role. Must have skills in acute inpatient rehabilitation and administration of blood products. Experience in managing patients with chronic conditions such as CVA and renal failure is essential. Assist with mobilization techniques and fall risk assessments. Manage feeding devices and ensure proper care of ventilated patients. Conduct pain assessments and implement appropriate pain management strategies. Educate patients and families on recovery and management strategies. Monitor vital signs and perform relevant nursing procedures such as IV starts and venous blood draws. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care. Be prepared to float to like units based on facility needs, if necessary. Follow infection prevention protocols and assist in maintaining patient safety. Adhere to national patient safety goals and core measures throughout the assignment.
