Respiratory Therapist

Schedule: Nights - Three 12-hour shifts from 1800 to 0630, every other weekend and rotating holiday schedule.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program - education verification required.
• WI Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• AHA Provider Level BLS.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine therapies that aid in the treatment, diagnosis, and evaluation of cardiopulmonary status.
• Conduct emergency rounds, oxygen saturation checks, and titrate oxygen per protocol.
• Initiate, monitor, evaluate, and wean both invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Assess patients clinically before and after administering any medication or procedure, recommending appropriate therapy.
• Educate and document patient and family information on therapies and medications.
• Respond to emergent care situations and assist with resuscitation efforts in accordance with established guidelines.
