Are you an early-career engineer ready to take on real responsibility, work directly with clients, and see your projects come to life? We're looking for an Assistant Project Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than just technical work-you'll own projects, collaborate with clients, and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, multifamily, education, and data centers.

What You'll Do

• Take the lead on small to mid-size projects from start to finish
• Partner directly with clients and play a key role in project success
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Coordinate with internal teams to keep projects moving efficiently
• Perform a mix of fieldwork and office-based tasks
• Travel locally to project sites (company vehicle provided for work use)

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (EIT/EI preferred)
• 2-5 years of experience in materials testing, geotechnical, or construction engineering
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients
• Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with construction materials testing and familiarity with ACI standards
• Prior exposure to project management or project coordination

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.25 - $50.50/hr.
