In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering fresh, high-quality produce to our customers while keeping our department looking its best. Responsibilities: Stock, rotate, and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables to maintain a full and appealing produce department Inspect produce for quality and freshness, removing damaged or expired items promptly Assist customers in locating products and answering questions about produce selection Maintain cleanliness and organization of produce displays, coolers, and work areas Receive and unload produce deliveries, verifying accuracy of shipments Apply proper food safety and handling procedures at all times Collaborate with team members to meet department goals and ensure a positive shopping experience Requirements: Previous experience in produce preferred Knowledge of fresh produce varieties, quality standards, and seasonal items is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Flexible availability including weekends and holidays About Us: Duarte Grocery Outlet is a proud local destination for budget-conscious shoppers seeking incredible deals on name-brand and fresh products in the Duarte, CA community.
