Packing Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION Classified as: Packing Associate. Effective date: 10/10/23. Department: Production. SUMMARY Packages food products in accordance with company specifications and prepares for shipping. Responsibilities may include guiding food trays into packaging machines, manually packing product in bags, using wrap and seal machines, assembling shipping boxes, counting products, operating taping machine, labeling boxes or containers, stacking on pallets, shrink wrapping, and using a pallet jack to transport products. The role may rotate across lines and include heavy tasks such as handling items over 50 pounds. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform repetitive finger, hand, and wrist motions during packaging and box assembly. Work at a fast pace on the line. Ensure production meets quality standards. Verify product code matches. Pack finished product into master boxes. Use a hand pallet jack. Lift up to 50 lbs. Operate in warm room temperature conditions. Package and seal food products per specifications. Assemble boxes, count and fill boxes as required. Move, stack, or relocate product as needed. QUALIFICATIONS & POSITION REQUIREMENTS Must be able to consistently perform functions requiring heavy lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in hot and cold environments, depending on assigned department. Must stand, walk, and use hands for the majority of the shift. Must be a team player.
