Senior Information Technology Specialist

Final Filing Date: 5/21/2026 Job Code #: JC-517581 We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) to lead the design, deployment, and support of complex enterprise IT systems supporting critical 24x7 operations. This role serves as a technical lead and subject matter expert focused on cloud technologies, system reliability, security, DevOps practices, and enterprise application support. The ITS II will collaborate across teams to architect and maintain scalable IT solutions, optimize system and database performance, mentor technical staff, and support vendor and contract management activities, including procurement, Statements of Work (SOW), and compliance with state policies. Key Responsibilities Lead enterprise IT infrastructure and software system initiatives Design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable technology solutions Support cloud development and DevOps practices across platforms Optimize system and database performance for high availability Mentor and train staff on best practices and emerging technologies Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues Manage vendor engagements, procurement activities, and contract renewals Maintain technical documentation and system standards Desirable Qualifications Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Experience leading technical teams and supporting 24x7 environments Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences Experience with vendor management, procurement, and SOW development Hands-on experience with: AWS and Azure, Active Directory, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SharePoint Online, VMware, UiPath, Windows and Linux Servers, and IT Project Management tools and methodologies #J-18808-Ljbffr California Department of Motor Vehicles
