We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects. The Senior Estimator will play a key role in project management, cost estimation, and project planning. This role requires a highly experienced professional who is equipped with excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of contract negotiation and cost control. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of AutoCAD, project bidding, and RFIs. This will have limited travel through MD/DC/VA with reimbursement for travel when necessary. Developing and implementing comprehensive project estimates, budgets, and bids. 2. Conducting detailed risk and contract reviews to ensure that all factors have been considered in the estimate. 3. Managing and coordinating with project teams to ensure accurate estimations and smooth project execution. 4. Utilizing your expertise in AutoCAD to create and review project designs and plans. 5. Leading project bidding activities, including preparing accurate and competitive bids. 6. Responding to RFIs and managing communication with various project stakeholders. 7. Applying cost control strategies to ensure project profitability. 8. Utilizing your negotiation skills to secure favorable terms in contracts and procurement activities. 9. Collaborating with various departments to ensure that project plans align with company objectives and client needs. 10. Continuously updating knowledge of industry trends, materials, and costs to ensure accurate and up-to-date estimates. Qualifications: To be considered for the Senior Estimator position, you must possess the following: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, project management, and project planning. 2. Proven experience in negotiation, contract negotiation, and cost control. 3. Proficiency in AutoCAD. 4. Experience in project bidding and responding to RFIs. 5. A Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees and certifications are a plus. 6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 8. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and tight deadlines. 9. A solid understanding of the construction industry, including knowledge of materials, labor costs, and current market trends.
