PhysicianPay Range: $82.94 - $123.31 Depending on ExperienceSchedule: Monday thru Friday 8-5JOB PURPOSE: Delivers high-quality care for the diagnosis and treatment of disease, promotion of health and prevention of disease, and the physical and emotional support of patients and families. The Physician provides care to new and established patients in accordance with the licensure and the highest standards of quality and integrity.The completion of these duties, tasks, or assignments requires a high level of independent judgment and decision-making in the execution of the scope or authority and responsibility for the position. Physician must be able to successfully perform all essential functions, duties, tasks, assignments, and responsibilities assigned within the El Rio organization at a location assigned by management. The incumbent in this position works with general direction and review, and has discretion and independent judgment authority with respect to matters of significance for the assigned area.The primary goal of the El Rio Health Physician is to support El Rio's Mission of providing comprehensive, quality health care that is affordable and accessible to all who may have healthcare needs, by successfully performing the primary essential functionsEssential Job Functions:Delivers healthcare in a professional manner that strives to meet or exceed those criteria set forth by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), and The Joint Commission (TJC), as well as the internal standards that seek continuous quality improvements.Evaluates patients, performing examinations, and establishing preventive health practices;Analyzes reports test results medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and proposes treatment options.Provides advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue.Cultivates a climate of trust and compassion for patients.Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.Maintains Medical Records for all services rendered, tests ordered, prescriptions, advice, and communications, in a manner consistent with regulatory agencies, diagnostic, and procedural coding documentation requirements, and the standards of good medical care.Attends to patient emergencies in the clinic and hospital environment.Complies with terms of all payor contracts and any other legal requirements concerning discrimination, access to care and the standard of care.Maintains good standing with the Federal and State agencies avoiding any action that may lead to sanctioning, exclusion, or other ineligible status, and will notify employer immediately of any action, notice, or event that could lead to exclusion or the allegation of malpractice.Directs and guides staff in partnership with administration and collaborates with an integrated team of medical and health care professionals to optimize the patient experience and health care services options.Oversees office flow and makes recommendations for efficiency.Works diligently to achieve a productivity standard.Remains in compliance with the terms of the contract as well as all clinical and employment-related policies and procedures, terms and conditions.Adheres to El Rio organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values policies and standards.Adheres to El Rio Health organizational and department specific policies, procedures, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and infection control standards.Records complete, timely and accurate medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all federal and state Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA).Accepts in-patient and outpatient calls on-call rotations and schedules as assigned and in conjunction with Provider Staff guidelines.Supervises and works with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents or students as assigned.Participates in ongoing Continuing Medical Education Programs.Attends medical and committee meetings as assigned.Adheres to or exceeds productivity goals as assigned by administration and Medical Leadership.Performs related duties as assigned.Minimum Education and Experience:Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical educational institution.Successful completion of an accredited residency program.If applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job.Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:Board Eligible or Board Certified in their clinical specialty.Must have and maintain and active and unencumbered Arizona state license as a Physician including prescriptive authority from the Board of Medical Examiners, State of Arizona.Must obtain and maintain current Federal Drug Enforcement Agency License (DEA) for prescribing controlled substances.Must obtain and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers.Remain current will all licensure requirements, compliance training, Code of Conduct and other regulations as mandated by state and federal laws.Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday.
