Job Title : Bench Scientist II Location : Cambridge, MA Type: Contract Compensation : $36-$41.82 Work Model: Onsite – onsite Overview Leading pharmaceutical company looking for a Bench Scientist II. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelors degree with 1-2 years protein purification experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for purifying several recombinant proteins a week.
• Routine protein labelling and final characterization (target proteins and mAb/Fab, labelling, all labels including fluors, biotin, etc).
• Assistance for weekly western blots and possible transient and stable mammalian cell maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree (BA/BS) with at least one year relevant experience in biochemistry, or a related field
• 1-2 years protein purification experience
• Purifying recombinant proteins
• Working with AKTA FPLC and Agilent HPLC.
• Experience labeling proteins and working with antibodies is a plus.
• Experience with tissue culture is a plus.
