Manufacturing Process DeveloperPurpose: To develop, document and prove out a manufacturing process that will control the manufacturing and assembly of a part that meets or exceeds the customer's requirements within the allotted time.Reports to: Operations & Engineering ManagerExempt Classification: ExemptMinimum Eligibility Requirements (Skills):Work well with others to promote teamwork, quality, craftsmanship and productivityMust be self-directed and motivatedPossess good communication skills both written and verbalExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to organize, problem solve and lead a projectInformation gathering, knowing how to find and identify essential informationEssential Job Functions:Good personal computer skills with knowledge of MSWord, and MSExcelInterpret drawing package (blueprint, parts list, etc.) for requirementsOperate ERP job processing systemCreate manufacturing and assembly planning based on customer and TS-KC requirementsParticipates in new product development meetings to review program for potential specification issuesInterpret specifications; Customer, Military, Federal, Material etc.Assist Manufacturing and Assembly during first runs ensuring proper documentation and job closure is complete and accurateHelp to develop skills of those within department, assembly and manufacturingFollow written QMS (Quality Management System) proceduresFamiliar with SPC and related methodsKnowledge of Machine Functions (G codes, M codes, Offsets, etc.)Knowledge of Assembly TechniquesOperate CAD/CATIA software for design and model evaluation applicationsDesign fixtures, jigs and gagesTroubleshoot problems and determine if machine or program errorMaintain a clean and organized working environmentOther tasks/duties/responsibilities as assigned
