Make a positive impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting K-12 students in a vibrant school community near Le Roy, IL! This contract opportunity offers the flexibility to work either onsite or virtually, making it an excellent fit for dynamic educators ready to inspire and adapt. There are two openings available for candidates with the dedicated skill set to help students achieve their individual learning goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- LBS 1 endorsement is a must
- Experience working with K-12 learners in a special education setting
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Comfort with virtual instruction and technology
- Ability to manage diverse learning needs and create inclusive instruction
- Passion for fostering growth and empowering students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Design and implement adapted curriculum and modifications for varied learners
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Maintain regular communication with families and support networks
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, planning, and progress reviews
- Adapt instructional strategies for in-person or online learning as needed
This is a 35-hour-per-week position with interview slots available after 12:00 PM on Wednesday and open times on Thursday this week to help you land your next fulfilling assignment quickly.
