Marketing & Content Assistant

We're looking for a Marketing & Content Assistant to join an exciting, fast-growing consumer health startup. Working directly with the Founder, you'll play a key role in executing the brand's marketing strategy, creating content, and helping build a business from the ground up.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working independently, and contributing ideas while supporting a founder focused on strategy and product development.

About the Role

You'll primarily support our client with a pre-launch wellness brand focused on post-event recovery, while also providing occasional marketing support to a second health-tech brand. The Founder will provide the overall marketing direction and messaging—you'll be responsible for transforming those ideas into polished, customer-ready content and campaigns.

The role is initially 20 hours per week , with the opportunity to increase to full-time as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Marketing

• Edit founder-recorded TikTok videos into engaging short-form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Create visually appealing Instagram carousel posts and static graphics in Canva .
• Develop and maintain the monthly social media content calendar.
• Schedule and publish social media content.
• Ensure all content is aligned with the brand's tone, style, and visual identity.

Email Marketing

• Design and build email campaigns and automated customer journeys, including:
• Welcome series
• Abandoned cart flows
• Promotional campaigns
• Create email designs in line with the brand identity.
• Translate marketing briefs and inspiration into high-converting email campaigns.

Content Marketing

• Assist with drafting blog content for the Offdays brand.
• Format and publish blogs within Shopify .
• Source, resize, and optimise blog imagery to match brand templates.
• Support content production for a second health-tech business by sourcing and preparing blog imagery.

Marketing Support

• Help organise and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
• Research marketing inspiration and industry trends.
• Maintain consistency across all marketing assets.
• Suggest ideas and improvements based on marketing best practices.

Future Growth Opportunities

As the business expands, this role is expected to evolve and may include:

• Coordinating communication with manufacturing, packaging, and testing vendors (non-technical project coordination).
• Influencer research, outreach, and relationship management.
• Managing content scheduling and publishing across social channels.
• Producing simple weekly marketing and Shopify performance reports.
• Taking greater ownership of campaign planning and execution.

About You

We're looking for someone who is proactive, creative, and enjoys working in a startup environment where no two days are the same.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in digital marketing, content marketing, or social media management.
• Strong Canva design skills.
• Experience creating engaging social media content for Instagram and TikTok .
• Experience with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo (or similar).
• Experience working with Shopify .
• Excellent written English.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable taking a brief and turning it into polished, customer-facing content with minimal supervision.

Desirable

• Experience working with consumer brands, wellness, health, or lifestyle products.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude .
• Basic understanding of SEO and blog publishing.
• Experience working in an early-stage startup or small business.
