Manufacturing Engineer

A precision manufacturing company in Pinellas County is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to take full ownership of CNC machining processes. This is a 100% on-site role focused on optimizing shop-floor production, reducing cycle times, and ensuring high-quality output.

About the Role: You will bridge the gap between product engineering and shop-floor execution. You'll spend significant time on the floor collaborating with supervisors and operators to troubleshoot machining issues, program equipment, and implement process improvements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Create and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling configurations, and methods for precision components.
  
• Write and modify CNC programs for multi-spindle machines, lathes, and mills.
  
• Review new product designs to estimate manufacturing feasibility, labor requirements, and production costs.
  
• Develop standard work documentation, including process flows, control plans, and work instructions.
  
• Utilize data and statistical methods to improve equipment effectiveness and stabilize capabilities.
  
• Drive lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives on the production floor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC manufacturing engineering experience with an Engineering degree or similar work experience.
  
• Direct experience programming with MasterCam, AutoCAD, or PartMaker is required.
  
• Strong background working with precision lathes, mills, multi-axis machines, drilling, and grinding.
  
• Ability to read complex blueprints, interpret tight tolerances, and understand basic machine control electronics.
  
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaborate effectively with shop floor teams.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $85,000.00 - $110,000.00
