Infusion Territory Sales - Pharmacist Required

Our client is a locally owned specialty infusion pharmacy serving the greater Chicago area with high-quality home infusion and alternate-site infusion services. The pharmacy partners with patients, physicians, and insurance providers to deliver personalized care for complex and chronic conditions, including immunoglobulin therapy, autoimmune disorders, Crohn’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other specialty therapies.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 base + Uncapped Commission

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to grow home infusion referrals while providing clinical pharmacist support at its Orland Park location. This hybrid role combines relationship-building with physicians and healthcare providers, clinical oversight, and patient care in a fast-growing home infusion pharmacy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop relationships with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, and other referral sources.
• Generate new home infusion referrals through in-person meetings and ongoing account management.
• Educate providers on our client’s infusion therapies and services.
• Serve as a clinical resource during the referral and patient onboarding process.
• Verify prescriptions, oversee sterile compounding, and ensure safe medication practices.
• Counsel patients and caregivers on infusion therapies.
• Collaborate with pharmacy, nursing, intake, and billing teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Support pharmacy operations and provide pharmacist coverage as needed.
  

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Pharmacist license.
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
• Experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or ambulatory infusion.
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding and infusion therapies.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable with business development and field-based provider outreach.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.

Preferred:

• Home infusion or specialty pharmacy sales/business development experience.
• Existing relationships with physicians or healthcare organizations in the southwest Chicago market.
• Knowledge of reimbursement, prior authorizations, and payer requirements.
