Assistant Manager/ Supervisor – Aura Head Spa

Location: Ridgewood Position Type: Hourly | Leadership Support Role

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager supports the Spa General Manager in executing daily spa operations, front desk leadership, and team coordination while ensuring Aura Head Spa’s luxury standards are consistently upheld.

This is a hands-on leadership support role , focused on execution, communication, and on-site supervision. While reporting to the Spa General Manager—who oversees multiple locations—the Assistant Manager leads their location as if it were their own, ensuring smooth daily operations, strong team leadership, and consistent execution of Aura Head Spa’s luxury standards.

The Assistant Manager plays a critical role in maintaining smooth operations during high-volume periods, supporting the front desk when needed, and acting as on-site leadership when the Spa General Manager is offsite. .

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership Support & Communication

• Maintain consistent, transparent communication with the Spa General Manager.
• Support the execution of management directives, policies, and operational standards.
• Act as the on-site leadership point when the Spa General Manager is off-site or unavailable.
• Escalate critical operational, staffing, or guest issues to the Spa General Manager in a timely manner.
• Reinforce accountability, professionalism, and Aura culture among staff.

Front Desk Operations, Coverage & Guest Flow

• Oversee daily front desk operations to ensure seamless check-in and check-out experiences.
• Provide front desk coverage when needed, including during high-volume periods, call-outs, tardiness, or scheduling gaps.
• Open and/orclosethe spa as assigned, ensuring all opening and closing procedures are followed accurately.
• Ensure receptionists consistently follow Aura’s luxury hospitality standards.
• Manage guest flow, service timing, and booking accuracy to prevent delays or disruptions.
• Resolve real-time scheduling conflicts, guest concerns, and last-minute changes with professionalism.
• Ensure the front desk area remains clean, organized, stocked, and aligned with Aura’s brand presentation.
• Assist with POS operations, cash handling, and daily reporting when opening or closing.

Team Oversight & Scheduling Support

• Oversee and support the receptionist team’s daily performance.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new front desk team members.
• Support training in:
• Guest communication and hospitality
• Membership explanations
• Rebooking strategies
• Retail recommendations
• Aura service standards and protocols
• Assist with staff scheduling and coverage coordination.
• Review and manage time-off requests, ensuring proper coverage.
• Support daily team huddles and ensure staff alignment on:
• Daily service flow
• High-demand periods
• Promotions, memberships, and retail focus
• Guest notes and special requests

Guest Experience Excellence

• Ensure every guest receives Aura Head Spa’s signature experience—warm, attentive, and consistently exceptional.
• Step in to professionally handle guest concerns or escalations when needed.
• Maintain a calm, polished environment reflective of Aura’s luxury positioning.
• Communicate guest feedback, recurring issues, or operational gaps to the Spa General Manager.

Operational & Inventory Support

• Assist with inventory tracking, supply ordering, and restocking.
• Monitor retail product organization and presentation.
• Support membership initiatives, promotions, and retail sales efforts.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards, state regulations, and internal protocols.
• Support overall spa cleanliness and presentation in alignment with Aura standards.

Experience & Qualifications

• 1–2+ years experience in a leadership, supervisory, assistant manager, or lead front desk role within spa, wellness, beauty, or hospitality.
• Strong communication skills with a polished, professional presence.
• Proven ability to perform in high-volume, guest-facing environments.
• Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working weekends, evenings, opening and closing shifts, and a flexible schedule.
• Passion for luxury hospitality, wellness, and team leadership.
