Aerospace shop is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Set up and Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working on complex parts, possess minor programming skills, and be proficient in tool sharpening. This role requires a self-starter who thrives in a clean, fast-paced environment and reports directly to the Team Lead.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC lathe machines for production runs
- Operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision aerospace parts
- Sharpen and maintain cutting tools
- Ensure adherence to aerospace manufacturing standards
- Troubleshoot minor programming and operational issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in CNC lathe operation and setup
- Proficient in CNC lathe operation and tool sharpening
- Skilled in blueprint reading and precision measurement
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
