Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview This role requires an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within a surgical environment. The assignment is 13 weeks long, with anticipation for immediate start. Shift Details Shift Schedule: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, three twelve-hour shifts per week. Weekend shifts may be required. Unit Information Location: Anchorage, AK Operating Room: 11 ORs Typical Patient Ratios: 1:1 Staff Composition: Day Shift: Average of 8 RNs, 8 Scrub Techs, and 5 Surgical Support Techs. Night Shift: One Charge RN and one Scrub Tech in-house with call team backup. Equipment: A variety of OR beds and equipment. EMR: Epic. Responsibilities Act as a patient advocate while being a resource for the sterile field. Assist with various surgical procedures including: Total Joint replacements. Multi-level spine fusions. Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General). Qualifications Required: Two years of experience in an Operating Room setting. Required Certifications: Current RN license for the state of Alaska. BLS. ACLS. Preferred: Experience as a circulator and scrub nurse. Certification in Operating Room Nursing (CNOR). Call Requirements The position includes a call expectation of approximately 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift within an 8-week sign-up period, subject to variation.
