In this role, you’ll step into the core of our reinsurance workflow—reviewing key documents, processing premium activity, and keeping account structures running smoothly. WHO ARE WE? As a Staff Accountant, you’ll help keep reinsurance information organized, current, and consistently accurate. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team, take ownership of meaningful details that keep operations moving, and contribute to a fast‑paced environment where your strengths truly shine. What You’ll Take On Update and maintain reinsurance structures for assigned accounts, including new and renewal policies Process reinsurance premium transactions, excess losses, and corresponding recovery memos Review and reconcile certificates from reinsurers against account summaries, reinsurance structures, and worksheets Prepare monthly cession statements, complete expiration packets, and perform general ledger and statistical balancing procedures Maintain integrity of reinsurance/accounting systems, files, and records, including Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, and account books Produce quarterly management reports and maintain prior year accounting files Establish and maintain communication with internal and external contacts, resolving minor accounting and reinsurance issues What You’ll Bring You’ll thrive in this role if you’re energized by accuracy, organization, and keeping important financial details running smoothly.
