Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Adaptable Life Counseling, you will: Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for couples and families, addressing a variety of issues including communication difficulties, relational conflicts, and trauma. Facilitate therapy sessions that include joint meetings with parents or significant others, as well as individual sessions with each family member. Utilize evidence-based methodologies to guide therapy sessions, ensuring a personalized approach to each client’s needs. Document progress and maintain accurate records in alignment with state regulations and organizational policies. Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with latest practices in the field of marriage and family therapy. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care and improve patient treatment outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus Your practice will encompass a diverse range of clients, including families dealing with: Alcohol and substance abuse issues. Experiences of physical or psychological abuse. Grief and loss challenges. Conflicts among family members or siblings. Blended family dynamics, including remarriage and adjustment to changes in family structure. Separation, divorce, and associated emotional transitions. Communication hurdles and job-related stress that affect personal relationships. Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following: A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Strong commitment to clinical excellence and ethical practice in mental health care. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly valued: Experience working with both adult and child/adolescent populations. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools to facilitate remote therapy. Experience in behavioral healthcare settings, particularly in outpatient environments.
