Senior Accountant

DescriptionThis position is responsible for complex accounting and reporting requirements of the company and performs managerial operating or cost accounting activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.Maintains and reconciles and fixed assets schedulesSummarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.Prepares monthly management and financial reportingAssess internal controls, including risk assessment and reviews of risk areasMonitor and support taxation requirements.Manage and support accounting assistantsSupport accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation. Assists with external and internal audit requests by providing information to auditors. Performs special duties and other projects as assigned.Adheres to all company policies.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:SAP experience preferred but not required.Proficient in Microsoft Excel.Must be an outstanding communicator with established skills in accuracy and working in a high-volume environment.Demonstrate ability to support all other departments within the company.Advanced knowledge of accounting and GAAP principles,Extensive knowledge of the theory and practice of recording, classifying, examining and analyzing the data and records of financial transactions.Detail oriented and organized.Ability to meet strict and frequent deadlines.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of people.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Math, Business Administration or related field required, plus a minimum of five years of accounting/finance experience including financial reporting requirements.
