Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) II - Generalist

Barnes-Jewish St. Peter's Hospital is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) II to join our laboratory team as a Generalist. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced laboratory professional who enjoys working in a community hospital environment and performing a broad range of testing across multiple laboratory disciplines.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Four 10-hour night shifts
• 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holidays

Responsibilities:

• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures
• Analyze, verify, and report accurate patient test results
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance standards
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and resolve technical issues
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related science field
• ASCP, AMT, AAB, or equivalent certification required/preferred
• Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Strong generalist laboratory skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
