Production Supervisor

Position Summary Responsible for providing tactical direction and support for a production team. Unit supervisors create and maintain a safe and sanitary production area to produce a product that meets or exceeds established standards. Must develop and lead business unit employees to ensure the achievement of plant objectives and own continuous improvement initiatives. Hours / Schedule (3rd Shift) – 10 pm to 6:30 am (with occasional flexibility for Saturday work) Job Duties / Responsibilities Results Focus Coordinate overall production activities in the assigned area, maximizing efficiency, product flow, reducing loss, and increasing yield through optimization of resources. Ensure company policies, quality procedures, GMPs, HACCP, NQS, SSOP, and FTQ are understood and followed by associates. Achieve safety and productivity goals and provide direction to the team to meet those goals. Manage controllable costs during assigned shifts (labor and materials). Lead & Develop Employees Create a positive, productive environment where each associate can fully contribute and be valued. Train and develop associates, clearly explaining expectations, building confidence, and providing one‐on‑one as well as team coaching. Provide information and resources that enable the team to make decisions and solve problems. Resource Management Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and waste. Own and drive continuous improvement initiatives using NCE and other tools. Lead the assigned production team, interact frequently with other supervisors and maintenance, and collaborate with HR, Finance, Engineering, Quality, SHE, IP, and other business units. Make autonomous decisions under the direction of the Senior Production Manager. Support plant KPIs of Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Cost, including adherence to the Department Operating budget and material variance. Experience and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business administration, or equivalent experience. Three to five years in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably the food industry. Strong computer skills (preferably SAP), problem‑solving ability, and coaching skills. Exposure to digital manufacturing tools (e.g., POKA or similar connected worker platforms) is a plus.
