Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Machine Operator to join our team in Richmond, VA, 23231. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of our wastewater treatment facility. If you have a passion for environmental sustainability and enjoy working with machinery, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor wastewater treatment machinery and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Collect and analyze samples to monitor water quality and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and compliance data.
Assist in the training of new operators and staff on equipment and safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.
Respond to alarms and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in wastewater treatment preferred.
Previous experience as a machine operator, preferably in a wastewater or industrial setting.
Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and machinery.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
