Schedule: Tues- Saturday Hours: Tues-Friday 11am-7:30pm, Saturday 7am-3:30pm Responsibilities The Histology Technologist is responsible for daily specimen processing in the histology laboratory. Communicates with staff physicians and other staff employees regarding patient specimens. Works with management personnel to ensure efficient and technically correct systems and procedures in the histology laboratory that includes QA/QC of reagents, instrumentation, proficiency testing, etc. Required Qualifications Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in clinical lab, chemistry, biology or related field Successful completion of board-approved Histology training program with ASCP HT or HTL certification and a FL Histology technologist clinical laboratory license. 3-5 years of clinical lab/histology experience preferred. Experience may be substituted for education as described by the State Clinical Laboratory Personnel Statutes.
