Mechanical Estimator

We are a very well-established Mechanical Contractor in need of a Mechanical Estimator to join our team located in Savannah, Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating of piping and sheet metal on mechanical projects throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

We provide our clients with high quality, efficient and cost-effective mechanical services for commercial and light industrial projects. Therefore, we are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated person who is looking to advance in our company by helping to provide our clients with the support and direction that they request and need. • Accurately estimate plan/spec and design/build HVAC systems using computer estimating systems and other related software.

• Prepare bid proposals along with other bid requirements (schedules, breakdowns if required).

• Establish and maintain vendor relationships.

• Attend Pre-Bid walkthroughs and perform site surveys.

• Participate in bid strategy meetings, pre-bid meetings, and post construction meetings as requested.

• Maintain estimating logs and unit costs for all bid projects.

• 3 5 years of estimating experience.

• Knowledge of estimation software.

• Experience in Mechanical contracting and construction.

• Ability to follow directions and take initiative when required.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Strong understanding of all aspects of the Mechanical portion of projects.

• Ability to read and comprehend prints and other construction documents.

• Deadline and detail oriented.
