Senior Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders. Review General Ledger activity for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate classification; make reclassification recommendations as needed. Partner with Project Managers and other internal teams to coordinate monthly and quarterly financial deliverables and accounting entries. Prepare lender compliance and financial reporting packages on a monthly and quarterly basis. Prepare distribution schedules and other financial analyses for assigned portfolios. Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models, schedules, and workbooks for assigned properties or portfolios. Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and support cash management and month-end close activities. Calculate and record management fees and other recurring financial transactions using accounting systems and Excel. Prepare lender draw packages and supporting documentation in accordance with loan requirements. Assist with the annual budgeting process, including developing assumptions for insurance, real estate taxes, accounting fees, escrows, reserves, and loan amortization. Review and approve invoices, process payments, and assist with check runs in accordance with established procedures. Coordinate with Accounts Payable personnel to ensure invoices are processed and paid accurately and timely. Assist with audits, reporting requests, and other accounting-related projects as needed. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience in property accounting, real estate accounting, fund accounting, or a similar environment preferred. Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close. Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with complex financial spreadsheets. Experience with accounting/ERP systems; exposure to property management or real estate accounting software is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively with accounting, operations, project management, and external stakeholders.
