Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Center in Lehigh Acres is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and tools necessary for delivering quality patient care. Our hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a consistent schedule that encourages work-life balance while allowing you to focus on your professional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing medical histories and conducting thorough evaluations of patients to create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.

• Employing various therapeutic modalities and manual techniques based on the findings of clinical assessments, ensuring adherence to best practices and state regulations.

• Delivering hands-on treatments and interventions that promote rehabilitation and functional improvement, while continually monitoring patient progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, consulting with physicians and other health professionals to coordinate care effectively and address any emerging patient needs.

• Documenting patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries with precision in compliance with health regulations and facility protocols.

• Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge of new practices in orthopedic therapy.

• Engaging in proactive discharge planning and providing guidance for community resources, ensuring a comprehensive support system for patients after therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients experiencing orthopedic concerns, including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and mobility limitations. Your role will involve understanding each patient's background and aiming to achieve personalized treatment goals by utilizing evidence-based practices and engaging their families in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) accredited by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.

• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience, demonstrating capability in managing various patient needs.

• A valid CPR certification to ensure patient safety during therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

Although not mandatory, additional qualifications that would enhance your application include specialized certifications in manual therapy or advanced orthopedic rehabilitation, as well as proficiency with electronic health record systems.

Compensation and Benefits
