Work Environment

This position is based in the home care setting, allowing you to work directly with patients in their own environments. You'll be scheduled for 40 hours per week, with variable weekends as needed. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients experiencing functional limitations and disabilities to create effective and personalized treatment plans.
• Provide expert consultation to other healthcare providers regarding a patient's continuum of care, ensuring cohesive treatment strategies.
• Implement, assess, and modify therapy techniques and protocols based on continuous patient evaluation, promoting optimal recovery and safety.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation regarding patient progress, aligning with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including physicians and support staff, addressing patient needs holistically.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and staff meetings to enhance service delivery and patient education.
• Supervise support staff, ensuring effective management of department resources and adherence to best practice standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal issues. You will work with a diverse range of patients, including children, adults, and seniors, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Your skills in cultural sensitivity and effective communication will be essential in establishing rapport and ensuring high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A state license in Physical Therapy is mandatory, with a commitment to maintaining licensure in good standing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Experience with electronic health record systems and documentation standards is a plus.
• Knowledge of the latest therapeutic techniques and modalities relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
