About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 20 weeks, with a possibility of 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in Step Down specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 18 months of recent Step Down experience - Traveler must work at least every other holiday - ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment required during orientation - Reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty required for submission Description: This role involves working in a Step Down unit. The position requires coverage during the winter season. Travelers may be expected to float to other units if needed. Shifts may vary as necessary to meet operational needs. All candidates must have recent experience in a Step Down setting. Emergency care experience is preferred but not mandatory. Required certifications must be active at the time of submission. A background check will be conducted, and any open cases will disqualify the traveler. All travelers must comply with nicotine-free requirements unless exempt. Additional modules are required for ongoing education and compliance. Travelers may extend assignments for a maximum of 18 months with a required break before returning.
