About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 20 weeks (with potential for extension) Shift: Day and Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty, preferably within one location; travel experience may suffice. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 18 months of recent Step Down experience - Experience in PCU/Progressive Care preferred but not required - Must work every other holiday Description: This role is for a registered nurse in a step-down unit. The nurse will provide care for patients post-surgery and those requiring additional monitoring. There is potential to float to other units that care for the same patient population. Shifts will include rotation between day and night schedules. Shifts may vary depending on operational needs. A background check will be conducted prior to start. All required certifications must be active and submitted prior to consideration for the position. Comprehensive assessments will be performed during the orientation process. Candidates must possess strong ECG rhythm recognition skills, as well as safe medication practices. Compliance with vaccination mandates is required, with limited exemptions available.
