About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for. - Preference for experience within one location, but combinations are accepted. - Must have 18 months of recent step-down experience or travel experience. - PCU/progressive care experience preferred but not required. License: - Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license. Certifications: - BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - Must work at least every other holiday. - Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation; acceptable scores required. Description: This position is for a step-down nursing unit. You may float to other units to care for the same patient population as needed. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs. Every effort will be made to honor preferred shifts, but rotation may be necessary. Candidates must have active and valid certifications with nothing pending. Two references from a manager or supervisor in the specialty applying for are required. References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. Candidates with any open background check cases will not be accepted. All hires must be nicotine-free, with exemptions for nurses and CSTs. Negative drug screens are required within 12 months prior to starting. All travelers must comply with background check requirements. Candidates may extend their contracts for a period of 18 months, after which a break is required.
