CPA Financial Controller

To support a growing technology company, the full-time salaried CPA Financial Controller will manage the core accounting functions, establish strong financial controls, and deliver reliable financial reporting while working remotely from Michigan. Key responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll coordination, and monthly and yearly financial close Establish scalable accounting policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance Produce accurate financial reports and analyses to provide visibility into business performance and support commercial decision-making Required qualifications 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience, including roles as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606 Proven ability to manage cash, reconciliations, and working capital effectively Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis Hands-on experience with accounting/ERP systems and process automation
