Manager - Public Relations

The Public Relations Manager leads all public relations, media relations, social media and online reputation management efforts for corporate health care system's service lines, physician network and regional affiliates. Works collaboratively with cross functional teams to develop, implement and evaluate public relations and social media strategies. Works directly with CEO, vice presidents, directors and managers to develop public relations messages including responses during crises. Works collaboratively with marketing and communications team to develop social media strategies that support organization's strategies, goals and objectives.Oversees all online review platforms for Baptist Health Care facilities and providesr. Engages marketing specialists to respond to online comments in a timely manner, manages areas of concern to patient experience team, HR and legal as appropriate. Develops strategies and tactics to increase online reviews. Identifies trends in online reputation and shares results and recommendations for improvement with marketing director.Works with digital marketing manager to develop measurements to track effectiveness.Works collaboratively with marketing and communications team to plan, develop and execute special projects that align with strategic priorities.Serves as A or B team PIO for incident command/media events. Serves on crisis communications team and assumes responsibility for special assignments.Coordinates Baptist Health Care leadership approvals, makes recommendations, manages contracts, and facilitates communications/promotions of external awards received from third-party vendors.Maintains responsibility for department’s operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.Manages team members, which includes orientation, development and evaluation of team members, and monitoring the provision of delivering quality services. Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and selecting of team members following policies, guidelines and applicable laws. Evaluates team member’s performance relative to job goals and requirements.
