Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,162–$2,299 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 Contract duration: Weeks (travel assignment) Shift: 3x12 Nights Start date: 10/05/2026 Facility/work setting: Hospital Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit, 20 beds in Rochester, NY Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on the MS/Tele unit, including monitoring, medication administration, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and dysrhythmia interpretation Respond to rapid responses and codes; participate in the rapid response team as needed to ensure patient safety Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (IV teams, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Transportation, Unit Secretary) to coordinate comprehensive patient care Deliver wound care, use wound VAC as indicated, and enforce infection control and PPE precautions; manage isolation needs Document patient care in the electronic medical record (EPIC preferred); maintain accurate charting and support cross-unit floating to MS, ICU, and ED within scope Complete onboarding and orientation requirements (on-site and classroom) as part of start-up processes Requirements Active New York RN license in-hand BLS certification Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (required) MS/Tele clinical skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management; rapid response/code team use IV therapy and phlebotomy competency; peripheral line care Ability to float to Med/Surg-level assignments on MS, ICU, and ED units; weekend requirement: every other weekend; first-time travel nurses accepted; EPIC experience preferred Local candidates within 75 miles of the assignment location are not accepted Benefits and Support Dedicated support throughout the assignment 24/7 recruiter and travel support Fast credentialing Housing assistance Extension opportunities Nationwide assignments Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
