Registered Nurse (RN)An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a MedSurg/General Surgery unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to patient care.Contract DetailsLength: 13-week contractStart Date: 2-3 weeks from acceptance of the offerShifts: 3x12 or 4x12, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (4x12 preferred)Weekends: Every other weekend requiredHolidays: Rotation required, preference given to candidates able to work holidaysCall: Participation in call rotation is requiredPatient Care & ResponsibilitiesStaffing Ratios: Typically 1:6, occasionally 1:7Flexibility to float within the scope of practice to meet the unit's needsQualificationsRequired: Current SC or Multi-State/Compact RN LicenseRequired: BLS CertificationPreferred: ACLS CertificationExperience: Minimum of 3 years in a MedSurg or General Surgery environment preferred; first-time travelers are accepted, but experience is preferredAdditional InformationFacility Capacity: 396 staffed bedsCharting System: EPICParking: Free parking available for employeesHurricane Season: Travelers should be aware of possible assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while providing quality care to a diverse patient population.
