Per diem employees are eligible for an incentive above base pay based on shift commitment. Incentive percentages are applied to all hours worked and are determined as follows:
• No minimum shift commitment: 10% above base rate
• Commitment of 3 shifts per month: 15% above base rate
• Commitment of 4 or more shifts per month: 20% above base rate Incentive eligibility and commitment levels are subject to change and must be maintained to receive the applicable rate. SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: NEUROLOGY CLINIC Our mission is to provide patients and their families with the highest possible quality of healthcare within an atmosphere of genuine caring. This includes recognition of the importance of quality customer service to patients, visitors and staff. Each RN/LPN/LNA/MA has the following responsibilities. Responsibility: works independently in a safe and appropriate manner. Sensitivity: displays sensitivity and empathy to the needs of patients, visitors and staff. RN/LPN: Registered Nurses are responsible for the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate patient care through the use of the nursing process. The Registered Nurse provides individualized care, education and support which addresses the immediate and anticipated needs of the patient and family across the care continuum. Review of individual job descriptions with employees is an on-going part of our annual performance evaluation program. Position may require the ability to float to multiple physician practices performing both clinical and clerical tasks as determined by need.

• Collecting data and conducting focused nursing assessments of the health status of clients.
• Planning nursing care for clients with stable conditions.-RN/LPN
• Participating in the development and modification of the comprehensive plan of care for all types of clients.
• Implementing appropriate aspects of the strategy of care within the RN/LPN/LNA/MA scope of practice as indicated.
• Participating in nursing care management through delegating, assigning, and directing nursing interventions that may be performed by others.
• Maintaining safe and effective nursing care/clinical rendered directly or indirectly.
• Promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Participating in health teaching and counseling to promote, attain, and maintain the optimum health level of clients.
• Serving as an advocate for the client by communicating and collaborating with other health service personnel.
• Participating in the evaluation of client responses to interventions.
• Communicating and collaborating with other health care professionals.
• Providing input into the development of policies and procedures.
• Other nursing services that require education and training prescribed by the appropriate board and in conformance with national nursing/medical assistant standards. Additional nursing services shall be commensurate with the RN/LPN/LNA/MA experience, continuing education, and demonstrated competencies.
• Perform selected clinical and administrative duties. Assist providers in preparing for physicals, procedures and minor surgeries.
• Administer immunizations and injections as ordered by provider.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Take patient histories and vital signs, specimen collection and analysis and perform EKGs.
• Change dressings and do wound care.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments. Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Remove sutures and castings.
• Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments and follows through with referrals and pre-certifications as necessary.
• Call or fax prescriptions, under physician's direction.
• Screens telephone calls for referral to physician.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining clinical and office supplies and equipment.
• Maintain patient files, records and other information according to hospital standards.
• Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
• Adhere to hospital, department and compliance policies, procedures, regulations and laws (OSHA, DEA, CLIA, etc.).
• Greet patients and family members.
• Assist the providers with the administrative aspects of their position to ensure the efficient operation of the office on a day to day basis.
• Maintain confidentiality of peers, medical staff and all patient information.
• Maintain physician appointment scheduling and any changes to their schedules.
• Check patients in/out for their appointments.
• Schedule patients for return appointments and appointments with other departments.
• Obtain insurance referrals and pre-certifications as needed.
• Verify insurance eligibility.
• Inform patients of designated appointment times of any scheduled tests.
• Confirm next day appointments.
• Update and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Receive, screen and/or deliver telephone messages in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Process charts for appointments.
• Sort and prioritize incoming mail and correspondence and respond as indicated/appropriate.
• Order office supplies.
• Participate in ongoing education and updates.
• Implement physician orders under physician direction and notify patients of results as directed by physician.
• Perform related work as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Service Line Director SUPERVISES: None QUALIFICATIONS: Experience/Specialized Skills: One year medical office experience preferred Required Education/Course(s)/Training:

• Must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a RN/LPN/LNA in New Hampshire.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN/LPN)
• If Medical Assistant-Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant preferred-willing to train the right candidate in the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant curriculum

• All staff must possess and active BLS certification within 30 days of starting
• RN must possess an active ACLS certification ( Pain Clinic only )
