About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join its executive leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's strategic direction. The CMO will provide clinical leadership across the Medi-Cal and Medicare lines of business, overseeing medical management, utilization management, quality improvement, population health, care management, and provider engagement initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to influence healthcare delivery for vulnerable populations and to guide the organization through a period of significant transformation and innovation, particularly in the areas of digital transformation and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, mission-driven physician executive with a strong background in managed care, Medicaid, quality improvement, utilization management, and population health. They should have a proven track record of working effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including providers, regulators, community organizations, and executive leadership. The ideal CMO will have a medical degree from an accredited institution, be board-certified in a recognized medical specialty, and hold or be eligible for an unrestricted California medical license. Advanced degrees such as an MBA, MHA, or MPH are preferred. The role requires a leader with strong clinical credibility, sound business judgment, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to improving healthcare access, quality, and outcomes for diverse populations.
