Manager Information Technology Services 1 Information Security - 11746

This Manager position within the Chief Technology Office oversees advanced design, network security, and deployment of multi-cloud connectivity projects across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform for dozens of New York State agencies. The role manages secure cloud network infrastructure, implements security designs, and provides 24/7 on-call support for complex network troubleshooting and incident resolution. The manager supervises junior staff, leads cross-discipline technology initiatives, and ensures network availability and performance across state data centers and cloud environments.

Key qualifications

Seven years of information technology, cybersecurity, or information assurance experience with one year at supervisory level
Expert knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP network infrastructure including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and routing
Proficiency in Layer 3 routing (BGP, VRFs, NAT, subnetting) and carrier-class network equipment troubleshooting
Experience with Palo Alto PAN-OS, Arista CloudEOS, and network security appliance management
Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code development and cloud configuration
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, work independently, and solve complex technical problems
