Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by providing crucial psychological support and guidance in an engaging school environment. As a school psychologist on contract assignment, you will play a pivotal role in fostering student well-being and academic success.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Knowledge of current psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Experience developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to provide counseling and consultation for students, parents, and faculty
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in school-based settings is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement appropriate intervention strategies and supports
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing expertise on student behavior, emotional challenges, and academic performance
- Advise staff and families on mental health concerns, classroom strategies, and crisis situations
- Provide individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in line with legal requirements
- Stay current on best practices in school psychology and related educational laws
