Radiology Technologist Lead

The role provides operational oversight, improvement of clinical operations, staff supervision, training, mentoring, evaluating clinical staff, coordination of clinical activities for students, coordination of patient care and flow, telephone triage, medical information management, clinical support for the radiologist, and acts as liaison between clinical staff, managers, and radiologists. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions Assist management with operational oversight, quality improvement, operational flow, performance measurement, and implementation of new practices. Provide guidance to staff, staff scheduling, triage duties, and serve as a resource to staff. Oversee the coordination of clinical activities for students to ensure they are meeting core curriculum requirements. Ensure high-quality radiographs are submitted by technologists for optimal diagnostic information. Demonstrate positive customer service focus by delivering exemplary personal patient contact while executing radiology clinical duties. Act as liaison between clinical staff, managers, and radiologists. Record digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation. Provide radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Qualifications Education Other Certificate/Diploma Radiography required or Associate’s Degree Radiography preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials Radiologic Technologist [MA] required. Registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Experience Radiology Technologist experience with multiple patient populations 2-3 years required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good communication skills. Ability to effectively evaluate and problem solve. Ability to work independently. Ability to guide, teach, and motivate others. Good business acumen skills.
