JOB TITLE: Senior   Logistics Analyst

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The Senior Logistics Analyst supports and improves Future Form Manufacturing's inbound and outbound freight, carrier management, and export/import compliance functions. This role provides the analytical backbone for the Material Flow and Logistics team — tracking freight cost and carrier performance, maintaining shipment and compliance documentation, and building the reporting that gives Supply Chain and Operations leadership visibility into on-time performance and cost.

The position works daily with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders to keep freight moving, resolve service issues and claims, and ensure documentation for both domestic and international shipments meet regulatory requirements (including EAR classification, AES/EEI filing, and denied-party screening). The Senior Logistics Analyst also supports incoterm and stocking-agreement analysis, customer/supplier logistics setup, and the ongoing NetSuite transition as it relates to shipping and logistics functionality.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

Essential

• Analyze and report on freight spend, carrier performance, and transportation costs across inbound and outbound shipments; identify cost-saving opportunities and service issues; track and own key logistics metrics (on-time-in-full, freight cost per shipment, claims rate) and use them to drive corrective action
• Coordinate day-to-day execution with carriers and freight providers (e.g., Fitzmark) on scheduling, tracking, and resolving service issues for both domestic and international shipments.
• Own export compliance documentation and screening for international shipments, including EAR classification support, AES/EEI filing, and Consolidated Screening List (denied party) checks.
• Escalate potential screening matches and classification questions to the Sr. Manager Material Flow and Logistics.
• Prepare and maintain shipment documentation (BOLs, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) and ensure accuracy and audit-readiness for domestic and international freight.
• Analyze incoterms (FOB, FCA, DAP, etc.) for customer and supplier agreements in partnership with Supply Chain leadership, evaluating cost, liability, and risk exposure.
• Investigate and manage freight claims (damage, loss, shortage) with carriers from filing through resolution; document findings and drive corrective action.
• Build and maintain logistics dashboards and reporting tools (on-time delivery, freight cost trends, carrier scorecards) to improve visibility for Supply Chain and Operations leadership.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, and Shipping/Receiving to ensure inbound material flow supports production schedules and outbound shipments meet customer commitments.
• Support new customer and supplier account setup related to logistics requirements, including shipping instructions, routing guides, and carrier requirements.
• Support carrier and freight rate negotiations by providing cost and performance data to Supply Chain leadership.
• Identify and lead process improvements that reduce freight cost, improve on-time performance, and reduce compliance risk.
• Support the NetSuite implementation for shipping and logistics functionality, including data migration, user acceptance testing, and process documentation, in partnership with the Inventory Control Manager; serve as the go-to user for logistics transactions after go-live.
• Maintain organized digital records and shipment files in accordance with company policy and export compliance recordkeeping requirements.
• Develop efficient milk run routes between facilities for cost effective, on time movement of raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Participate in new product introduction to ensure all packaging and safe loading/transit requirements are met prior to final acceptance.
• Serve as Logistics SME; train and support Logistics Coordinators and Shipping/Receiving team members on documentation and carrier processes.

WORKS WITH: Purchasing, Planning, Shipping/Receiving, Inventory Control, Suppliers, Customers, Carriers/3PL Partners, and Future Form Team Members

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Follow all OSHA safety regulations and those set by Future Form Manufacturing

Wear required PPE (safety glasses, safety-toe footwear) when in production and shipping areas.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 4+ years of experience in logistics, freight/transportation analysis, or a supply chain analyst role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of export compliance (EAR, AES/EEI filing, denied-party screening), or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
• Understanding of incoterms and their cost and liability implications
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, data modeling, and dashboard building
• Experience with ERP or transportation management systems for shipment tracking and reporting (OmegaCube or NetSuite a plus)
• Ability to manage multiple carrier relationships and resolve service and claims issues
• Detail-oriented and analytical; comfortable using data to drive decisions
• Strong communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with Purchasing, Planning, Operations, and external carriers and customers

Beneficial

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Sit 70%, Stand 15%, Walk 10%, and Bend 5%. Maximum (minutes): Sit 240, Stand 15, Walk 10, and Bend 5. 

Occasionally lift up to 40lbs. Must have normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids).

  Working Environment: Office desk with occasional time in the shop and shipping/receiving areas. Moderate noise level. Occasional exposure to dust, heat, and cold. Occasional travel between Future Form Manufacturing facilities.

This position will require drug testing per company policy.
