We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst with deep expertise in the U.S. power and energy trading industry.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of ISO/RTO electricity markets and the complete power trading lifecycle, working closely with traders, scheduling teams, settlements, risk management, and IT.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Gather and document business requirements for energy trading initiatives.
• Analyze and improve end-to-end trading processes, from pre-trade analysis through settlements and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with trading, scheduling, risk, settlements, and technology teams to deliver system enhancements.
• Create BRDs, user stories, process flows, data dictionaries, interface specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Support integration with ISO/RTO market systems, including bid submissions, market awards, telemetry, meter data, pricing, and settlement files.
• Participate in backlog grooming, roadmap planning, and functional design discussions.
• Develop and execute test plans and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate trade data, pricing, positions, P&L, and settlement calculations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• Strong experience in the Energy Utilities or Power Trading industry.
• Hands-on knowledge of one or more U.S. ISO/RTO markets, including:
• PJM
• ERCOT
• MISO
• CAISO
• NYISO
• ISO-NE
• SPP
• Solid understanding of the complete power trading lifecycle, including:
• Pre-trade analysis
• Trade capture
• Day-Ahead Markets (DAM)
• Real-Time Markets (RTM)
• Scheduling and nomination
• Risk, P&L, and position management
• Settlements and invoicing
• Reconciliation and exception handling
• Experience creating business analysis artifacts and leading UAT.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
