Field Sales Representative

MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide.

Job Purpose

Contribute to the execution and achievement of established financial goals; responsible for the development and growth of existing accounts, driving increased market share within assigned territory.

Salary Range

• $70,500 - $87,7000, depending on position qualifications, job-related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive)

• Develop andmaintainrelationships with assigned customerbases, including national accounts, performresearch,and prepare quotes and information for customers.

• Work to ensure satisfaction with MRC Global products and services at all times.

• Acquireandutilizeknowledge of customer accounts within assigned territory, including technical requirements, production volume and schedules, targeted pricing, applicable contract requirements, and competitive analysis.

• Contact existing and potential customers to sell products and services, ensure customer satisfaction with existing products, and expand the customer base.

• Grow existing accounts through execution of a proactive sales plan with initiatives to include focus on lost & declining business in the existing customer base.

• Achieve maximum profitability by meeting or exceeding gross margin goals through effective negotiation.

• Research and develop information on new projects.

• Negotiate with vendors and coordinate efforts with Supply Chain groups for the best product prices.

• Work with Branch/Regional management and National Accounts team to develop strategic territory business plans,assistwith proposals, contract research and negotiation, and implementation of sales strategies to achieve sales growth.

• Identify and communicate work in process, threats, opportunities, and related market trends as appropriate.

• Drive effective partnership with the branch team, communicate to deepen understanding of customer business processes, buying procedures, and expectations for service.

• Partner with the branch and other internal resources to investigate and resolve all customer complaints promptly.

• Evaluate the source of the problem andfollow toresolution.

• Perform related administrative functionsin accordance withMRC Global procedures, including quotations, order placement, delivery confirmation, processing changes and returns, and responding to messages and inquiries.

• Attend branch meetings, share information, instill vision, and create enthusiasm to achieve goals.

• Work with the branch warehouse to achieve delivery performance goals, ensure orders are filled as promised, and keep customers informed of order status.

• Advocate and engage in the promotion and maintenance of safety initiatives.

• Exercise care in all activities anddemonstratesafety leadership.

• Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others.

• Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnessesimmediately.

• Perform other duties andprojects asassigned.

Education, Experience & Ability Requirements

Any combination of requirements that provide the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities will be considered.

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) andadditionalrelated training.

• Any combination of three (3) or more years in customer service, inside sales, and/or warehouse services in a position with increasing responsibility, to includedemonstratedsales leadership/supervisory experience.

• Must have a current, valid driver's license and acceptable record at all times.

• Demonstrated knowledge of PVF materials and ability to understand the scope of MRC Global services, to include pricing, supply, and contract terms.

• Demonstrated competence in the use of computers and software applications.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others.

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

• Willingness and ability to be on call as needed to provide 24-hour service to customers.

• Willingness and ability to travel within and outside the branch service area, with occasional overnight stays.

• Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.

• Ability to read and speak the English language proficientlyin order tocommunicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries.

• Ability to understand andcomply withMRC Global guidelines and expectations, including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
