Product Owner / Project Manager - AI Products

Job Summary Our client, a leading global restaurant organization, is seeking a Product Owner / Project Manager - AI Products to support the delivery of AI-driven products and initiatives across its restaurant-brand ecosystem. This is a remote opportunity with an ASAP start date. Core Responsibilities Lead discovery sessions with business, brand, product, and technical stakeholders to understand objectives, requirements, dependencies, and success measures Translate ambiguous business needs into clearly defined requirements, user stories, Jira tickets, and development-ready work Own and maintain product backlogs using Jira and Jira Product Discovery while coordinating priorities across multiple initiatives Manage initiatives through discovery, development, launch, and post-launch follow-through, tracking milestones, risks, dependencies, decisions, and KPIs Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including standups, planning sessions, status meetings, and other delivery activities Build strong relationships with brand stakeholders, product leaders, engineering teams, PMO partners, and other cross-functional groups Use generative AI tools to accelerate documentation, ticket creation, analysis, communication, and day-to-day project delivery Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Experience in Product Owner, Project Manager, Business Analyst, or similar technology delivery roles Proven experience managing software, digital, data, AI-enabled, or automation initiatives from discovery through delivery Strong requirements-gathering and business-analysis skills, including the ability to turn ambiguous requests into actionable development work Hands-on experience with Jira, including backlog management, ticket creation, prioritization, and Agile workflows Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coordinating engineering teams Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills across both business and technical audiences Working knowledge of AI concepts, practical AI use cases, and the opportunities and limitations of generative AI Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Experience with Jira Product Discovery Experience with Monday.com or similar project-management platforms Background supporting AI, data, analytics, automation, or emerging technology products Experience in restaurants, hospitality, retail, consumer-facing, franchise, or multi-brand organizations Familiarity with restaurant operations technology or tools supporting frontline employees Experience defining KPIs, product success measures, business requirements, or technical requirements Regular use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Atlassian Rovo, or comparable platforms Key Competencies & Behaviors Consultative & Influential: Builds credibility with senior stakeholders and engineering teams and influences decisions without relying on formal authority Structured & Organized: Creates clarity and structure from ambiguous requests while maintaining control of scope, priorities, and delivery Pragmatic & Delivery-Oriented: Focuses on practical outcomes and adapts plans as priorities, funding, or market conditions change Curious & Innovative: Demonstrates curiosity about AI and actively explores new AI-enabled approaches to improve productivity and business outcomes Collaborative & Adaptable: Works effectively across functions, cultures, and U.S. and Australian time zones Work Environment Location: Remote Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $75.00 and $93.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
