Working collaboratively with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, discharge planners, case managers, and caregivers, the ATP develops individualized mobility solutions that maximize independence, safety, and functional outcomes. This position combines advanced clinical knowledge with consultative sales, allowing the successful candidate to grow referral relationships while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Primary Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive seating and mobility evaluations. Assess functional mobility, postural support, skin protection, transfers, environmental accessibility, transportation, and long-term mobility needs. Develop customized equipment recommendations based on clinical findings and functional goals. Specify Complex Rehabilitation Technology equipment including: Power Wheelchairs Manual Wheelchairs Seating and Positioning Systems Tilt-in-Space Systems Standing Wheelchairs Adaptive Driving Controls Specialty Cushions and Back Supports Alternative Drive Controls Coordinate evaluations with physicians and rehabilitation therapists. Participate in equipment trials and product demonstrations. Perform final fittings, programming, and adjustments. Provide patient and caregiver education to ensure safe and effective equipment use. Conduct follow-up visits and equipment reassessments. Sales & Business Development Develop and maintain referral relationships with: Hospitals Acute Rehabilitation Facilities Outpatient Therapy Clinics Skilled Nursing Facilities Home Health Agencies Physicians Case Managers Veterans Organizations Identify new referral opportunities throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Represent Family Complex Rehab at educational programs, community events, and clinical in-services. Meet and exceed annual sales objectives while maintaining the highest ethical and clinical standards. Required Qualifications Current RESNA Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) Certification. Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent professional experience. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance documentation requirements. Ability to work independently while managing multiple patient cases. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of experience in Complex Rehabilitation Technology. Experience working in a DMEPOS or CRT environment. Existing referral relationships within the Washington, DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia healthcare community. Experience with manufacturers including Permobil, Quantum Rehab, Invacare, Sunrise Medical, Ki Mobility, Motion Concepts, Ride Designs, Stealth Products, and ROHO.
